It's an opportunity to do your life's best work.(sm) This position works closely with leadership across the Risk Adjustment Operations team (Clinical Performance, Optum Care) to implement a variety of operational improvement initiatives. - These initiatives range from regular project management assignments to Lean Sigma, Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma projects that will improve or transform operational performance. - - You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. - -Primary Responsibilities: -

  • Cross functional project/program management to support on-going improvement of risk adjustment operations
  • Anticipate customer needs in the risk adjustment space to proactively develop solutions to meet them
  • Cross functional communication and facilitation of meetings to manage projects /programs
  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational issues related to the program implementation in the risk adjustment operations space
  • Project planning to ensure scope, budget, and timeline are managed appropriately to support end-result
  • Coordinate across the organization to ensure clear responsibilities are documented, defined and commitments delivered
  • Gather pertinent data and facts to identify and solve issues, assess impacts, and mitigate risks
  • Perform data analysis to assess project performance, identify trends and create plans for implementation of appropriate solutions
  • Create, maintain, and report project/program progress and metrics
  • Proactively identify risks, business process impacts, mitigation, and contingency plans for successful implementation
  • Manage set of Policies and Procedure that affect Risk Adjustment Operations functions You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. - Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years relevant experience
    • 5+ years of project management experience
    • 5+ years of experience managing multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
    • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt with demonstrable project implementation experience
    • Experience gathering pertinent data to perform data analysis
    • Experience creating Policies and Procedures
    • Advanced level of proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business)
      • 2+ years of Risk Adjustment Operations experience including knowledge of business processes that impact HCC coding and submission
      • Project management experience in Risk Adjustment Operations
      • Process oriented with solid people skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand
      • Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others
      • Able to coordinate work of across multiple functional areas
      • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
