Maintenance Technician will perform the day-to-day maintenance
functions and assist in special projects and remodels of Check
City's facilities within the Nevada market (currently 29 branches
in Las Vegas, NV and 3 in Reno, NV) under the direction and
supervision of the Facilities Manager.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of
Check City's facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
- General electrical repairs and troubleshooting which includes
ballast and fixture replacement
- General plumbing repairs and troubleshooting which includes
fixture replacement.
- General painting, drywall, millwork, and carpentry repairs and
replacements.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to defined
schedules.
- General diagnosis and troubleshooting of all facilities systems
and equipment.
- Use of manuals, parts catalogs, blueprints, or other
documentation as needed.
- Daily use of a web-based and smartphone app-based Helpdesk
ticketing software system
- Installation and maintenance of low voltage cabling and
coordination on special projects with I.T. Department
- Storeroom and Electrical room maintenance and organization
- Responsible for purchasing supplies and materials
- Tracking maintenance supply inventory
- Responsible for preparing weekly expense reports and job
reports.
- Responsible for developing relationships and working closely
with managers, directors, co-workers and sub-contractors. Preferred
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Computer literacy and the ability to type
- Good judgment and intermediate problem-solving skills
- Good organization, time-management skills, and the ability to
work in a team environment
- Must have reliable transportation
- On call availability for emergency purposes onlyAdditional
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma
or GED
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday first shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. PAY $17.00 to $22.00 per
hour. Additional pay for fuel and vehicle wear and tear
provided
