College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources is
recruiting for a Personnel Technician 2 to work in the Clark County
Extension Office. This position will assist in all Human Resource
processes in Clark, Lincoln, and Pahrump Extension offices. Duties
will include recruitment of all permanent positions, temporary
positions, and volunteer positions as needed. The position will
provide personnel support including maintaining employee records in
Workday, processing hires, terminations and other transactional
changes. The Personnel Technician 2 will be responsible for
performing onboarding of all employees including I-9 verifications
and arranging for fingerprinting of employees. The position will
serve as a subject matter expert on transactional HR policies,
procedures, and processes and other related duties as assigned. The
position will serve as backup to the Personnel Analyst 1 position
for Clark, Lincoln, and Pahrump Extension offices.Required
QualificationsThis position requires graduation from high school or
equivalent education and one (1) year of technical
personnel/payroll experience; OR one year of experience as a
Personnel Technician I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent
combination of education and experience.A valid Class "C" driver's
license or higher operator's license is required at the time of
appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.ScheduleThe
typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00
pm; this is subject to change based on organizational
needs.Compensation GradeGrade 27 (Entry, Step 01 $17.80/hr. - Step
03 $19.32/hr.)In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step.
The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code.
Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is
determined based on the recruitment, the candidate's
qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request to
accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by
