PURPOSE
Responsible for originating truss
design and placement drawings prepared directly from information
submitted on a company order form,Simple architectural plans,
repeated from previous jobs, or from information developed by a
more senior technician.BENEFITS

Processes roof truss and panel
orders,Performs estimating and takeoff services using ability to
understand blueprints and customer requirements for specific
projectsOrders taken by component technical staff form the basis
for component production planning.Revises layout and design
drawings for projects that are similar to previous work in addition
to structural wood products and accessory items supplied by the
company.Assures stability, deflection and load carries in a manner
that will meet or surpass codes associated with each project.Writes
technical descriptions specifying material qualities and
properties.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory
responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS

Software experienceEducation and/or Experience High school diploma
or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend
simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to
write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present
information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers,
clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical
Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units
of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw
and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete
variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills:
Many duties can be performed with
software identified and provided by the company.This includes the
ability to manipulate paper and electronic files.Certificates,
